Who we are
Dice-Dogs is a northern New Jersey based tabletop wargaming club founded by a bunch of guys who wanted an excuse to play games every Monday night until we're all too tired to keep chucking dice. We meet every Monday at Time Warp Comics & Games, in lovely Cedar Grove. We play Games Workshop stuff, including Warhammer Fantasy Battle, WH40K, Necromunda, Mordheim and the other Specialist Games, and are getting more into the Privateer games (Warmachine and Hordes) weekly. We usually get rolling (pun intended), between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m and play till the store closes. So come by and roll with the Dogs.
What we're up to
News - 19 MAY 08: The Dog Days of Summer! 2 days of tabletop gaming goodness at Time Warp. Saturday, August 16th we're holding a 40K RTT, followed by a WHFB RTT on Sunday the 17th. Details to be announced soon.
News - 07 MAY 08: Dice Dogs will be doing the Hordes and Warmachine Summer Rampage from late July through August. Check back for details soon!
News - 29 APR 08: We're back from the Colonial, and it was a blast! 9 of us went down and played boatloads of Warhammer, drank stupid amounts of alcohol and ate garbage can lids of food, not necessarily in that order.
Congrats to Joe Puzzo for bringing in the Best Sportsman award, and coming in third for Player's Choice, and Posey for third place in Best Sportsman!
We're having a Harry the Hammer painting contest to see who's the top Dog painter (not that it's really in doubt, but we can dream). We'll be posting pics and asking a panel of experts from other clubs we're friendly with to vote in it. Deadline is Memorial Day.
We've got another Necromunda campaign starting up on Memorial Day as well, which will run through the 4th of July.
What we're about
Dice Dogs is a social gaming group: our emphasis is on having a good time with friends. We sometimes play in tournaments, sometimes host events, have been known to make a splash at the odd convention, but most of all we're a bunch of folks who are into the various aspects of the miniature gaming hobby who also happen to enjoy hanging out together.
